We bring the space and YOU bring the “spice”
Healing begins within YOU. Sana yoga is set out to be a space where you can show up and the studio will meet you at whatever energy level you are at. It’s a space you can come apart and put yourself back together with who you are and/or aim to be! Whether it starts with one class or multiple sessions, we encourage you to find your spark and spice.
Sana Yoga is an infrared heated space. Our studio is focused on creating a community of diversity, trust and inclusivity. At Sana, your practice is yours! It may not look like anyone else’s and that is okay because no one is you and that is your power!
Meet the owner
Hola! My name is Viviana, founder of Sana Yoga.
When I began my journey as a teacher, I found that many older women felt that they lacked confidence. They believed that they did not know how to embody themselves in a way that let them express their beauty from the inside out. I quickly found myself relating to them and it wasn’t until after I began practicing power yoga, I noticed a change in my confidence and felt a burst of sensuality. As a mom of two, I know that you can sometimes let life get in the way and it can become hard to find time for yourself- so we let go. As time goes on, we don’t even realize that we start to become more and more introverted and less active. which then leads us to feeling nervous when trying new things; which is very common. However, I want to help peel away the layers that inhibit us and help ignite that fire within each person that already exists so you leave feeling empowered, confident, lighter and free.
Yoga doesn’t have to be so serious and it isn't a competition with others. You can come as you are and leave with something greater each time you step onto your mat. Yoga is also a beautiful, healing practice that also allows us to release trauma and shift past obstacles to be able to embrace the present fully. One of my many certifications is in Yin Yoga which is a slow, soothing and meditative style of yoga that targets the deep connective tissues, bones, joints, fascia and ligaments in the body while stretching and stimulating different acupressure points from Traditional Chinese medicine. This particular practice holds poses for at least 3 minutes and up to 10 minutes and during this time, all types of emotions can arise; such as anxiety, fear, happiness and sadness. These emotions can stem from past traumas in our lives and where our natural fight or flight response is activated. Within my classes I aim to teach our bodies to unblock the pain and release what we have been holding onto.
I can’t wait to share this special practice with you at Sana Yoga. I hope you will join me!
